Fun on the Fourth!

I had a great 4th of July hanging out with friends and family, stuffing my face, and getting mauled by mosquitoes while taking pictures of fireworks. Here’s to hoping everyone’s was just as great!
Who could resist brownies with cookies baked inside?! Not me...
it was a family affair - everyone getting ready to watch the spectacle.
We even brought out the pony to join in the celebration!
We partied till the cows came home... literally!

I’m not a mommy blogger, or mom, but my sis-in-law just sent me pictures of these neat little baby wipe and diaper cases she sewed and I thought they were ADORABLE!. I told her she should offer them up for sale, but I wasn’t sure if there was any demand for them. Mommies, tell her what you think… Do you like um? Would you buy them? If there anything else that you might be interested in that look as cool as these? Or just let her know how cool they look (at least I think so):

It’s that time of year where everyone is starting to suffer from the winter blues. Although I cannot magically make it warmer outside, I was hoping a few of these photos would bring a little sunshine into your offices or homes. Street Condoms

I just saw a man buy $45 worth of condoms from a street vendor. That would really disturb me if it weren’t for a fact that these condoms were HILARIOUS! I wish I could remember all the lines they came up with, but here’s the best I can do:
“OBAMA CONDOMS! For hard times!”
“Remember the election with your next erection”
“Obama condoms! The ultimate stimulus package!”
“McCain Condoms, they’re old, but not expired!”
There’s no doubt about it, I’m a Floridian.

So it dawned on me today that I will be headed up to New York City tomorrow. Now I don’t know if you’ve noticed or not, but Florida doesn’t have any real seasons. I mean we do but they consist of: Rainy, Muggy, Hot, and Hurricane. So I went in panic mode when I realized that in other parts of the country, it is actually COLD in December (who would’ve thunk it since it’s all of 78 degrees out here).I rumagged through my closet and found all of my cold weather gear:
Is it sad that all my warm clothes are Peruvian souvenirs? Do you think I will stick out at all in NY?

I figure this can be a place where I can continuously update the list of things I would like to do/see before I die. Here’s to checkin’ things off! In no particular order:
Shorter Term
- Go a whole day without laughing and just saying “That’s so funny” ala Scrubs
- Be able to recite this and this on command
- Become a Master Strobist
- Run a marathon
- Road Trip across the USA
- Learn how to make digital cartoons
- Cage Dive with Great Whites
Longer Term
- Visit every country in the world
- Learn to speak Italian fluidly
- To never need credit
- Photograph for National Geographic
- Make a comfortable living doing what I love
- Live in Chile
- Publish a book and dedicate to my 4th/5th grade teacher
- Hang out with Penguins
- Be the coolest grandma EVER
