It’s great that Emma is in town, but we all were imprisoned today by unknown illnesses. It was a couch potato day for all of us.

I made Mareike pick a paint color so she could finish painting AND THEN get new flooring so she could FINALLY move into the new condo. Everyone came over and pitched in and almost got the entire living room and kitchen done. I painted the high gloss trim and doors (and think I left with a fume high).

On Friday I showed the power point I put together for the company Thanksgiving party (see other thankful  pictures). I went around asking everyone what they are thankful for. And what was I thankful for you ask? Well, publicly humilating my boss is always high on my list  Here’s Matt as Charlie Brown:

I decided to hang out with the old crew at Orlando Brewing for the usual Wednesday brewery night. They still had Oktoberfest on tap and I got to watch Rob kick everyone’s butt at darts as usual. Good times

Today we went around the office asking everyone what they were thankful for. It’s part of a project we are working on for our Thanksgiving party on Friday. Of course, when it comes to IT, there’s no turning off the jokes. Here’s my favorite out take from the day:

I couldn’t resist posting this shot from yesterday. This guy (who wasn’t even attending the festival) had a good sized albino python he was flaunting. Of course my group had to go over and hold it – and of course giggly pictures ensued. The funniest part was when the snake’s tail started wandering through people’s legs and there was nothing they could do about it. Gotta love a frisky snake!

Today I went to the 3rd Annual (or so they say) Downtown Orlando Food and Wine Festival…. try saying that 10 times fast after you’ve been at the festival for an hour or so. I was hestitant to go, just because it was a Sunday and I felt like relaxing after the night before, but I’m glad I met everyone out there. The food was fantastic and the wine was, well, some of it was fantastic!

My advice to anyone wanting to get the best bang out of their buck – go on the last day and stay until the end. The vendors were almost giving away food and wine came cheap at 2 for 1.
