I know, I know, I’m insane… painting a rental. But I really can’t stand cream colored everything from the walls to the carpet to the appliances, it’s driving me nuts. We ended up picking granite boulder. We’ll see how it turns out.

I was SOOOO EXCITED to find my Viva Mexico Cabrones souvenir when I unpacked my boxes! I thought I had lost it, but it was just tucked away yay!

I can’t believe I’m finally here, in my new home 1200 miles away from Orlando… The 3 day trip went by too fast but I am happy to be sitting in front of my own fireplace with my Hubs and soon Mack will join us. I’ve been waiting for this day for so long – SO HAPPY!

Well, good morning Fall! How nice to see you up this early! So sad we couldn’t visit longer, but I figure I’ll see ya again next year…

We visited the Childress Vineyards today, and although the vines are done for the year, it just meant to me that there is more wine in the making

After a long day’s worth of driving, we arrived at a friend’s house in Lexington, NC – just in time for Thanksgiving dinner number 2! LASAGNA & BEER

I had a lovely early Thanksgiving meal with my family so that John and I could hit the road early tomorrow.  Everyone was very thankful for each other’s company and of course the food! Hey, who gave Mack all the turkey??

Today when I picked up the local weekly paper, I couldn’t believe how large it had gotten since I was a little kid. At first I thought maybe the paper was doing really well and there was a lot of news to share or maybe coupons for the holiday, but when I opened it up, I quickly realized what had happened… Since it is the cheapest in the county and foreclosure notices have to be advertised to the public as a notice, literally half the paper was filled with bank  notices of homes foreclosing. Wow, these really are hard times.

Today’s the last Happy Hour I’ll have with work friends in awhile, as I am officially moving to New York State. I’m gonna miss you guys!
