Opportunities …118/365
Posted by Christa Watson in My 365 on April 28, 2010
Sometimes I wonder why we work so hard to find what’s already right in front of our eyes…
It was a gorgeous out when I got home tonight, so I decided to take a walk to the store. I had the hubs on the phone with me and of course he asked, in his usual fashion, if I knew what I wanted to shoot for my daily photo. I gave my trademarked response, "no idea", so he asked me if I brought my camera with me. Again, not missing a step I replied "nope". I then proceeded to talk about how it’s not really my style to just stumble onto something, snap it up and post it. I like to get an idea in my head and create off of that concept.
I hung up, walked into the store, and thinking nothing more of it, went to go find hot dogs and an avocado. Needless to say, I stepped outside 10 minutes later and ate every word I had just spoken. I’m pretty sure the sky was on fire, with bright pinks, reds, oranges, yellows — and me with no camera. Thank goodness for the iphone again, I managed to pick my jaw off the ground, snap out of my daze and shoot this up just as the sun was setting.
I’m starting to learn that not everything in life has to be difficult, you just have to know an opportunity when you see it…
Orlando at Night… 3/365
Posted by Christa Watson in My 365 on January 3, 2010
I keep driving by this one spot in Downtown Orlando that I always think “hey, that would make a great picture”, but it is right off a highway offramp and well there is no way of easily getting there. So tonight I decided since it was cold and Sunday, that it would be pretty traffic free and that I would lug my stuff down and snap a few shots. Wow, now I know why the bums aren’t even out tonight because I froze my fingers off getting this shot. Hope yall like it:
Day 3
PS- Me freezing my “bajangjang” off taking the pic:
