Trish, Kris, and my favorite baby Emilee came into town on a whim tonight (the surprise being that they live in Pennsylvania). I got a text and decided to head out and meet them at Joe’s crab shack. The waitress wrote some silly captions on their crab bibs, but little did she know that they would switch seats… so we had to improvise with it. Turns out I gave Trish crabs, although I’m skeptical because Kris says he shares his. I’ll let y’all decide. Either way, Emilee played it the safest by staying sound asleep during the entire commotion. Smart move Emme.

Sleeping beauty herself

Today I reconnected with some great friends I haven’t seen since early college years. (ok so it was only about 6 or 7 years ago, but still…) It was fun catching up with everyone and talking about old times, memories, and of course what’s going on in each other’s lives.

In times where it is easy to just be a spectator in someone’s life by keeping up with them on Facebook or Myspace, twitter or a blog, I challenge you to reach out, comment, message, email or call someone who has had a positive impact in your life. Just let them know you like their status, pictures, or miss talking with them. Sometimes the smallest gestures mean the most to others.
