They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Sometimes I spend hours on the iwebs for inspiration or just history of great photographers and where they’ve come from, also where we’re going.
I spotted this vintage print and knew I wanted to attempt at reproducing it. I didn’t realize how hard it would be…
Finding mirrors, an area to setup, and trying to look over a massive camera setup (my 50d is like 5 times bigger than old film cameras) were just a few barriers. So today, was my first attempt. I don’t know if I’ll try again, maybe if the moment is right and I can find the perfect location.
For now, I’m happy that I at least tried.

This is pretty cool! I was wondering how you came up with all these ideas.

Well truthfully, I have a huge list of ideas that came from inspirations, but recently they’ve all been my own doing. I haven’t had time or equipment here to set up all the shots I wanna take :/

I keep coming back to this one. Love the idea. I’m going to try some things like this I think.
