Joby, my new gorillapod, took a stroll out on the patio today and met a few new friends.
Mack meet Joby. Joby, this is Mack….
Joby, no joby… NO JOBY! That’s not how we play nice!!!
I guess I need to teach him a few manners?

Haha we just got our first Gorilla Pod recently and love it! Is that the heavy duty SLR Zoom version? The one we have barely holds the 7D + prime lens and only if you curl the legs just right… I love the idea but really need some more leg support.

It’s the focus: joby.com/gorillapod/focus/ with the ballhead X. It holds my 50D + 35 prime just fine, but I haven’t tried with battery pack yet. It says it hold up to 11 lbs. I’m going to test it camping this weekend so I’ll let you know how it goes!

Ok the REALLY heavy duty one! Let me know how it works, I’m really interested in getting something more flexible for a travel tripod (besides the 3 tripods we have already!).
