Mack, meet Carlos …85/365

Mack met Carlos today.

Carlos is my stuffed squrriel. I brought Carlos home from work yesterday. He had the job of holding my business cards. I figured it was time to clean my desk off, so I decided to bring him home to meet the familia.

So far so good. They both seem to get along.

I acquired Carlos through a garage sale. Actually he was left behind at a Garage Sale my friends had at my house. It turns out their mom acquired him through a now deceased ex boyfriend, and apparently he had some sentimental value, so I promised to take care of him.

Poor Carlos came to be stuffed after a redneck hunting “accident”. Well, I say that lightly. You see, this ex boyfriend of hers was hunting in the woods one day and saw “the largest squirrel” he’d ever seen in his life. I guess instead of enjoying this squirrel’s beauty, he decided it would be better to hunt him. And so Carlos met his end, only to find out later he was a rare and endangered species in Florida, to which this ex boyfriend thought he would rectify his mistake by stuffing and cherishing poor lil ole Carlos.

And so he came to be, and so he stays, gracing his presence on my desk. He’s a pretty cool lil guy, so I will continue to take him with me wherever I may end up… but for now, he’s at home with me and Mack, just chillen :)

Good story and cool shot. Carlos is definitely the largest squirrel I’ve ever seen.
