We went to Beefy King for lunch today. With probably the best roast beef sandwiches in Orlando, and tasty tots, Beefy King has been a landmark in the area since 1967.
This is the machine they use to cut their fresh sandwich meats. On the other side is a cutout in the table that shoots steam. This little square piece is the only place they make sandwiches on. It’s neat to watch. They then slop all the excess bits up with the other side of the bun and *SLAP* it together for a tasty treat!

Sounds good. It’s a proven fact that whirling gears and rotating sprockets add that special something to food. I feel the same way about tortillas made from a Rube Goldberg-esque tortilla mill at the Frontier in Albuquerque.

cool perspective… when you do shots like this, are you just standing off to the side like a stalker taking the pic, or do you ask them about doing it first (like an upfront stalker)?

Well, I like to stalk so people act normally and not like they are having their picture taken. In this shot, the girl was cutting meat and moved out of the way, which I told her it’s ok, but everyone seemed to be happy that I was taking photos… or at least not phased at all by it.

OK, I am tired of hearing everyone talk about how great Beefy King is, and even more sick that I’ve lived in Orlando for nearly 12 years and have never been.
I gotta change that pronto!
