youre full of crap. if youre judging a book by its cover youre also an idiot. the movie wasnt all about what font was used to spell out the title you retard. go f yourself. i love james cameron. im guessing youre just jealous of how succesful he is and wonder how he makes such marvelous movies.

i can’t cite my sources but i was told by someone that it was a nod to something.
if i could remember what the nod was it would make sense. or, at least, i’m told the nod made sense.

Haha, well I’m no snobby designer… If you know me, you’ll know that the post is more of a joke than serious, but it’s true I don’t want to go see it because I’m more about story lines. From what I’ve heard everyone is so in love with the graphics, which personally is not what makes a great movie. They all admit the storyline left a little lacking… I want some substance along with CGI. #justsayin

I did think you’re right Christa, the logo was an odd choice but I still went to see it and it was fantastic until I saw the logo pop up at the end of the film again…(joke) Papyrus font is just a no-no in my book… Saying that, the film has just taken a billion dollars so I’m not going to slate it too much. I think the only people it will detract will be snobby designers that dislike the logo and don’t watch the trailer – ha!

I am a graphic designer, and I see the method behind the logo design. I don’t think it is as bad as you are saying it is. It isnt “blingy” and “shiny”, but for a very good reason. If you see the movie, you will understand the reason behind the aesthetic of the logo.
